My travel trailer 30 amp was running off a generator, my daughter plugged in her hairdryer and blew off who trailer. I checked GFI, it was gone, so I replaced it. Now the trailer has electric when plugged into a truck. All the lights work and the water pump as well, but when I plug the RV into the generator, nothing operates. The blue indicator light shows the generator putting out power but nothing goes into the trailer. How can I diagnose my trailer's electrical issues?
I assume you are talking about a motorhome and your generator is built into your RV and wired appropriately?
If so, Check your 12-VDC on your COACH battery.
If you are running on an external generator, then there are a number of things that could have been damaged. You should check the generator itself (wiring) and the external power cable for damage as well as the 110-VAC breaker panel wiring.
