Apparently, This Is How You Properly Turn Your Wheel

Yes, there is a right way.

In today's episode of Things You Didn't Know You Were Doing Wrong, you will learn that you don't really know how to turn your car's steering wheel. Not correctly, anyways. And yes, there is a correct way to do it. Don't believe us? Ask your Driver's Ed instructor.

But for those who need a visual aid, or those who simply do not want to revisit the trauma of Driver's Ed, TikTok user @driving_lessons has you covered. They demonstrate all the wrong techniques people use to steer their cars before showing us the correct method. Don't worry, it's not complicated.

See? Simple as that. They even showed us a one-handed method before demonstrating the famous hand-over-hand maneuver. These techniques may not come naturally to you, depending on how you're used to steering your car, but practice makes perfect!

Users in the comments, however, are divided over which method is the correct way to steer. "No, totally wrong," @gulraizshamin accused. "Your suggestion is wrong because if your hands are crossed and the airbag kicks off, it will damage your hands," @r1k_0 suggested. "It depends on your skills," @sandytest81 said. It seems like the second (wrong) method is the most popular.

Then there are those who choose anarchy. "There ae no rules in that department," @farbod_raho6 stated. To each their own, as long as you're driving safely. We haven't heard of people getting pulled over for steering their car the wrong way, so whichever method you use, you should be good.
