Two Ways To Make Your Car Last Longer

We never knew we were damaging our car like this. . .

Cars are a big investment. Literally. They cost a lot of money, and how long they last depends on how much you take care of them.

TikTik creator @enginemanagement shared a video explaining two things you can do to extend the life of your vehicle. These are every day things that you may not pay any attention to, but they can be the reason your car breaks down before its time.

His first tip is to avoid starting the car right away. Instead, but your keys in the second position, wait for the fuel pump to prime up and then start your car. He said starting your car this way will take some strain off your fuel pump and make it last longer, which will save you money in the long run.

His second tip is to never drive on an empty or near-empty tank. He said it'll make the fuel pump work much harder to keep the car running and can end up seriously damaging it.

"I have a habit of driving on E for as long as possible. I’ll stop playing that game and always fuel up. Thanks for the tip!!" TikTok user @dianafrommd wrote in the comments sections.

"Side note for Toyota cars after 2000, the fuel pump doesn’t prime until you start the car. But don’t drive on an empty tank, that’s still not good," @that0n3nerd added.

Helpful tips are always welcome, especially if they help us take care of our cares and make them last longer.
